This MOBILE TELESYSTEMS (MBT) simple trading system is based on the volatility analysis and uses ATR (Average True Range) technical indicator expressed in the percentage (absolute) values. The system uses three parameters, first of which is ATR bar period and second with third are Signal Lines which are used to generate MBT "Buy" (Long) "Sell Short" (Short) signals. The concept behind this system is quite simple - high volatility is associated with bearish markets and low volatility readings are associated with bullish trading. This simple trading system generates buy/sell signals on the crossovers of ATR and its signal line:
Note, that 0.5% shift for short signals is chosen to avoid choppy trading (frequent buy/sell signals over short period of time) when ATR moves side-way at signal line level.
